Jennifer Bensman was the Director of Immigration Services of Catholic Charities Atlanta for 7 years and has over 15 years of experience in removal defense. She is a graduate of Albany Law School of Union University in Albany, NY and Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. She has practiced immigration law since 1991 beginning as an Immigration Inspector for legacy I.N.S., working at the Buffalo, Niagara Falls, and Toronto INS inspection sites. She is licensed in the New York and Georgia bars. She was the inaugural recipient of the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN) Mentor of the Year. She also received the Fred Gray Social Justice award. Jennifer is a member of the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and American Immigration Lawyers Association. She served for 3 years on the Georgia/Alabama AILA ICE Committee as well as AILA National EOIR committee. Additionally, she was nominated and accepted a position on the State Bar Georgia Family and the Courts Committee.
